Transporting waste
2. Can I transport my own waste?

You can carry waste produced by your own business without registering with or notifying the Environment Agency. This means that you and your employees can move waste around your farm and take it to appropriately licensed disposal or recovery sites.
If you have waste, you have a legal duty of care to make sure that it does not cause any environmental problems. You must transport all waste material securely so it does not leak or blow away.
You must only transport waste in suitable and secure containers and vehicles to prevent waste from being spilled. Suitable containers can include tankers, skips, intermediate bulk containers and drums, depending on the type of waste.
You should cover or net loose materials to prevent them being blown out of the vehicle.
